At the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition (INCMNSZ) of Mexico, in conjunction with SocialDiabetes, a study is being carried out on the use of SocialDiabetes technology in the care of patients living with diabetes, within the framework of current of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The idea of this study was born from the need to optimize health care in Mexico given the characteristic conditions of health care, such as the fact that it is a care model focused on face-to-face care, considering that the SocialDiabetes system will help a greater adherence to treatment and self-care of the patient, facilitating communication and management of medical care by clinical staff.
That is why this study was launched at the beginning of 2020 with the adoption of SocialDiabetes as the digital tool to provide medical care to patients with diabetes who stopped receiving usual care due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fortunately, we have found positive results with the use of our app and telemedicine system that allowed patients to continue receiving medical care and that has favored better adherence in the treatment of patients with diabetes, which translates into a better quality of life of people, which is our vocation. Here we show some results.
