At SocialDiabetes we always work with our users in mind to make your diabetes treatment easier and more comprehensive. The more data each patient has access to, the better decisions they will be able to make to control their diabetes.
We want to adapt SocialDiabetes to you, so that you can customise each function to your needs. Therefore, we have added new changes to the App.
These changes are aimed at being more flexible with each person’s different treatment and pace of life. Let’s take a look.
We have changed the New Control interface
We have changed our interface to make data registration more intuitive. For this reason, when you click the + button, you will be able to choose which type of information you want to write down in the start-up icons. The options include: bolus, blood sugar, food, insulin, medication, physical activity, glycosylated haemoglobin (A1c), weight, blood pressure or ketones.
Combine information to make it more comprehensive
In addition, once you have selected these actions, you will be able to combine them to create a more detailed register. For example, if you click on bolus, and it is before lunchtime, the blood sugar, food and insulin tabs will become active by default.
Nevertheless, you will also be able to add exercise, medication, ketones, etc. if you like or, on the contrary, deactivate these default tabs and only write down bolus units.
Add information that you find interesting
Many of you have requested this, and we know that emotions can modify blood sugar levels in diabetes, so you will be able to add your mood. Do you think stress increases your blood sugar levels? Write it down to make a comparison, you will learn about yourself and you will be able to talk about it with your medical team.
Sometimes we feel slight physical or psychological changes or we have simply moved office and walk 15 more minutes in the morning instead of 5. Add this information with tags or comments, so you don’t forget to mention it during your check-up.
Differences between type 1 diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes mellitus and their treatment
Each type of diabetes is controlled differently, but they all require good control to maintain good health.
Thanks to these new changes, insulin and medication will be registered separately. In this way, you will be able to select what you are interested in depending on your case.
There are times when we may need different medication or we take other medicine for other illnesses, such as high blood pressure or cardiovascular problems. Therefore, you will not only be able to write down your diabetes pills, but also any other medication you may be taking.
We remind you of your alarms
Alarms are a very useful tool. We often have a lot on our mind and diabetes requires your full attention.
Activate alarms at the most convenient time for you, both for medication and so you do not forget to take your slow-acting insulin or to check your blood sugar after meals.
Receive weekly summaries, we help you to find your bearings
As well as taking note of all the data and registers, it is important to analyse and visualise progress to make therapeutic decisions. SocialDiabetes will help you with this task, we will send you summary messages with your glycaemic controls, so that you have a weekly report and know how everything is going.
In a nutshell, we want SocialDiabetes to adapt to each patient and their diabetes. Customise your treatment, feel empowered, take control of your diabetes, we will help you.
